Grayish, brownish, or yellowish-brown above and yellowish below. A diffuse dark stripe extends from the top of the head over the top of the pronotum. A balck stripe begins behind the eye and extends onto the lateral lobes of the pronotum. Forewings are grayish brown, usually with a few small spots, and extend beyond the tip of the abdomen. Hind femora are yellowish with a dark stripe along the upper edge. Hind tibiae are red or blue. Males are 22-33 mm long, females 26-37 mm.
In males, the cerci are symmetrical, constricted at the midpoint, and spoon-shaped at the tip. They are bent inward at the tip. The extensions of the furcula are broad basally but short, extending not even half the length of the supra-anal plate. |
