Field Guide to Grasshoppers, Katydids, and Crickets of the United States
This green grasshopper is marked with silvery white on the body and femora, and with white and black on the lateral lobes of the pronotum. Hind tibiae are green. Head is pointed. Forewings are spotted and long, extending beyond the tip of the abdomen. It is identified as much by its host plant as by appearance, as it exclusively in creosote bushes. Males are about 18 mm long, females 25 mm.
