Type Material
Holotype: “Male holotype from Elk Ridge, Utah, June 13, 1936 (Douglas Henriques), in the collection of the University of Utah” (Muma, 1951, p. 60).
Measurements: Male Holotype: Total Length, 22.0 mm. Chelicerae, 5.2 mm length; 2.6 mm width. Propeltidium, 2.5 mm length; 3.9 mm width. Palpi, 17.0 mm. 1st Legs, 14.0 mm. 4th Legs, 22.0 mm.
Ctenidia Description: “there are four ctenidia on the posterior margin of the first post-spiracular abdominal sternite. A fifth spurious spine occurs between the mesal pair of ctenidia” (Muma, 1951, p. 60). Chelicerae Description: “Structure the same as in scaber except there is no scopula on the mesoventral surface of the metatarsus of the palpus, the fondal notch is noticeably wider than deep” (Muma, 1951, p. 60).

Notes: Four dark circular spots on venter abdomen that may be attachment sites of ctenidia (took photo). Dark markings on propeltidium and on dorsum abdomen – took composite photo. May be scattered papillae – not sure. A bit of color on pedipalp. |
